Home Extensions FAQs in Clayton

What work can you help with during an extension?

We can help with interior tasks such as fitting doors and trim, installing plasterboard, patching and painting walls, and completing flooring and finish work. Carpentry may also include skirting boards, shelving and cabinetry, depending on the project. We’ll discuss the work needed for your Clayton home before getting started.

Do you handle structural and licensed trade work?

Structural, electrical and plumbing work must be completed by appropriately licensed trades, so we don’t take on those tasks as handyman work. We can discuss the interior finishing and minor carpentry tasks involved in your extension, and help clarify where licensed trades are needed for the project.

How do you prepare an existing room for connection?

We can help prepare an existing room for connection by completing suitable interior work, such as fitting trim, installing plasterboard, patching and painting walls, and carrying out minor repairs to adjoining areas. The exact tasks depend on the project design and what’s already in place at your Clayton property.

Can you install windows and doors in Clayton?

Window and door installation can form part of an extension, depending on the design and required approvals. We’ll discuss what the project involves and whether the work is suitable for us to complete. Any structural changes or other work requiring a licensed trade must be handled by appropriately qualified professionals.

What interior finishes can you complete after construction?

We can assist with interior finishing tasks such as patching and painting walls, fitting internal doors and trim, completing flooring, and installing skirting boards. The work depends on the extension and the agreed scope. We take care with the details so the finished areas sit neatly alongside the existing home.

How does the extension work get coordinated?

We’ll discuss the work required, the project design and how the extension connects with your existing home before confirming suitable tasks. For customers in Clayton, we can talk through interior finishing and carpentry needs, while structural, electrical and plumbing work is arranged with appropriately licensed trades.
